Yes. DoorIO can help text-enable eligible business landlines while keeping your current voice service. We'll check your number and guide you through the required approval process.
Do I have to change my phone number or carrier?
Not necessarily. With hosted texting, your existing voice service stays with your carrier. We can also discuss other options depending on what you'd like to accomplish.
Will I need another phone?
No second phone is required for supported DoorIO calling setups. Your existing cellphone can receive business calls, while additional communication features depend on the service and plan you choose.
Can I add texting to my existing AT&T business landline?
Possibly. DoorIO can check whether your AT&T landline is eligible for hosted business texting. If approved, you may be able to keep your existing number and AT&T voice service while sending and receiving texts through DoorIO. Number verification, carrier authorization and messaging registration are required.
What is A2P 10DLC registration, and do I need it?
A2P 10DLC is a carrier registration process for businesses sending texts using US 10-digit local numbers. It helps carriers verify your business and its intended messaging use. Applicable business texting numbers need approved registration before sending messages. DoorIO can help you through the setup and compliance process. Carrier registration fees may apply. Toll-free numbers use a separate Toll-Free Verification process instead, and hosting approval for an existing landline doesn't replace this registration.
